(a) No person who has received written notice from the Chief of the Ohio Division of Watercraft that he or she is prohibited from operating a vessel or using any water skis, aquaplane or similar device, and from registering a watercraft, or who has had the registration certificate and tags of his or her watercraft impounded, in accordance with Ohio R.C. 1547.111(D), shall operate a vessel or use any water skis, aquaplane or similar device for a period of one year following the date of his or her alleged violation of Section 381.12 or Ohio R.C. 1547.11. (b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree and shall be subject to the penalty provided in Section 303.99(b). (ORC 1547.99(B))
