(a) Parking or standing a vehicle in the spaces designated within off-street parking areas shall be lawful for any period as specified by appropriate signs in designated areas or in the Municipal parking garages or upon the deposit of the coin or coins required for legal parking time and in a sufficient amount so as to prohibit any vehicle so parked from being parked overtime in such space, as such time and amount are enclosed on the meter installed for the control of such space. (b) The Director of Public Safety shall, from time to time, establish a Municipal Parking Schedule, designating:
(1) The location and time limits for the parking or standing of vehicles in spaces designated on the streets and within off-street parking areas and spaces;
(2) The location and time limits for parking meters and the fee per unit of time to be paid by the operator of any vehicle occupying a designated space in any parking area controlled by a parking meter; and
(3) Parking lots or portions of lots for permit parking. Such schedule shall also provide for specific permits for one or more such lots or areas.
Said Schedule shall be filed with the Clerk of Council. If Council fails to reject said Schedule within sixty days, said Schedule shall become effective.

(c) Parking meters shall be operated in the off-street parking areas every day between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays as specified in Section 355.05(b). (Ord. 53-80. Passed 7-7-1980.)
