The Mayor of the City is hereby charged with the responsibility of supervising the urban renewal and urban redevelopment activities of the City, coordinating the activities of the other officers, employees, commissions and boards concerned with such projects and executing on behalf of the City, as its authorized representative, all applications to the Federal Government for grants, loans and advances.
