§ 114.02 Definitions
BEDROOM. A habitable room which is used, or intended to be used, primarily for the purpose of sleeping.
DAY. A 24-hour period from midnight to the next.
DWELLING. A building or portion thereof, designated exclusively for residential occupancy. Refer to Section 157.003 of the Zoning Code.
OWNER. All Persons interested in a property as fee simple Owner, life estate holder, encumbrancer or otherwise to the Dwelling offered as a Residential Rental.
PERSON. Any individual, firm, corporation, association, governmental entity, or partnership and its agents or assigns.
RESIDENTIAL RENTAL - LONG TERM. A rental or lease of a Dwelling by its Owner to someone other than the Owner for purposes of habitation, with a lease or rental term of at least consecutive 30 Days, including month-to-month lease arrangements or longer.
RESIDENTIAL RENTAL - SHORT TERM. Any rental or lease of a Dwelling by its Owner to someone other than the Owner for purposes of transient lodging for a fee or other remuneration, with a lease or rental term of less than 30 Days, and regardless of whether the Owner resides at the property or not.
TRANSIENT GUEST. A Person or Persons renting, using, or occupying a room or rooms for fewer than 30 consecutive Days.
