(A) There is established a Traffic, Safety and Engineering Committee consisting of seven members to be appointed by the Village President with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees. The membership shall be composed of individuals interested in problems of traffic safety whose training, interest and background will aid the Committee in its work. There shall be two at-large members and one member from each school attendance areas noted :
(1) Brook Park School;
(2) St. Louise de Marillac School;
(3) Forest Road School;
(4) Park Jr. High School; and
(5) Nazareth Academy.
(B) The term of office of each member shall be for two years and until his or her successor shall be appointed and shall qualify.
(C) The persons appointed to the Committee shall be residents of the village, a person employed within the village or persons whose business, occupational or professional activities are carried on in a substantial degree within the village. When the residence, employment or substantial activities within the village no longer exists, the members shall be deemed to have resigned from the Committee. At no time shall the Committee have more than two members who are not La Grange Park residents.
