(A) Pursuant to the citation, the person so accused of the violation may settle and compromise the violation claim in respect to the code violation by paying to the municipality the applicable amount as shown in the schedule set forth as the settlement amount in § 70.091 within a period to be specified in the citation, not more than ten days from the time the alleged offense was committed.
(B) The payment shall be made in accordance with the instructions contained in the aforesaid citation, at the office of the Village Collector, who shall issue a receipt for the money so received and promptly remit the amount to the Village Treasurer to be credited to the proper municipal fund.
