The Village President shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the village, and he or she shall perform all duties that may be required of him or her by statute or ordinance. He or she shall supervise the Village Manager and all appointed officers of the village, except where this Code delegates said authority to the Village manager. He or she shall have the power and authority to inspect all books and records kept by any village officer or employee at any reasonable time.
