Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, all farm animals, including, but not limited to, members of the swine, ovine, bovine, caprine, equine families, poultry and rabbits shall be prohibited. Members of the equine families may be used as a means of transportation throughout the city so long as they are not permanently kept and harbored within the city limits. This section shall not apply to livestock brought into the city for the purpose of being immediately shipped out of the city.
