§ 52.999 PENALTY.
   (A)   Violations of chapter. Any person found to be violating any provision of this chapter, except §§ 52.050 through 52.057 shall be served by the city with written notice stating the nature of the violation and providing a reasonable time limit for the satisfactory correction thereof. The offender shall, within the period of time stated in such notice, permanently cease all violations. The city may revoke any permit for sewage disposal as a result of any violation of any provision of this chapter.
   (B)   Penalties.
      (1)   Any person who shall be in violation of § 52.005 shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and on conviction thereof shall be fined as set forth in § 10.99.
      (2)   These charges shall be over and above any charges for violations by other regulatory bodies such as the Illinois EPA or other charges noted in this chapter, whether wilful or accidental.
   (C)   Violations. Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall become liable to the city for any expenses, loss or damage incurred by the city in remedying the violation.
   (D)   Action. In addition to any other penalty or action provided or authorized hereby, the city may institute any appropriate action or proceeding to prevent any violation hereof, to restrain, correct or abate such violation.
