The JPB, with the assistance of the chief officer if one is appointed, may develop and implement policies, procedures and standards governing the operation of KCEMSS. In addition, the JPB may authorize the chief officer to develop and implement such policies, procedures and standards in a manner consistent with this chapter and with the directives of the JPB. Any such policies, procedures and standards adopted by the JPB and/or the chief officer shall be consistent with the terms of this chapter and of any agreement between contracting parties then in force.
The board or JPB may condition disbursement of compensation otherwise payable to a medical service provider on compliance with this chapter and the policies, procedures and standards adopted by the JPB or the chief officer pursuant to this chapter. (Ord. 345, 1-11-2005)
