ORDINANCE NO. 24-02

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF KNOXVILLE, IOWA RELATING TO THE FEE FOR GOLF CART PERMITS

BE IT ENACTED by the City Council of the City of Knoxville, Iowa:

SECTION 1.    Title 6, Chapter 6, Section 9, Subsection A(4) is deleted and the following adopted in lieu thereof:

6-6-9A(4)    The fee for such permits shall be set out in the fee schedule established by Council and said fee shall be paid annually. The fee will not be pro-rated for permits purchased during the year. The fee will not be refunded if the golf cart is sold or the permit is suspended or revoked.

SECTION 2. SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. If any section, provision or part of this Ordinance shall be adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the Ordinance as a whole or any section, provision or part thereof not adjudicated invalid or unconstitutional.

SECTION 3. WHEN EFFECTIVE. This Ordinance shall be in effect from and after its final passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
