ORDINANCE NO. 24-01

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF KNOXVILLE, IOWA, 2009, BY AMENDING PROVISIONS PERTAINING TO THE SPEED LIMIT ON ATTICA ROAD

BE IT ENACTED by the City Council of the City of Knoxville, Iowa:

SECTION 1. The Code of Ordinances of the City of Knoxville, Iowa, 2009, is amended by adding a new line in Title 5, Chapter 1, Section 7, as it pertains to the speed limit on Attica Road between Washington Street and Main Street, which is hereby adopted to read as follows:

5-1-7: Speed Limits:

Twenty-five miles per hour (25 mph):

Attica Road between Washington Street and Main Street

SECTION 2. Repealer. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

SECTION 3. Severability Clause. If any portion of this ordinance shall be held unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, this decision shall not affect the remaining portions of this ordinance not so declared unconstitutional or invalid.

SECTION 4. When Effective. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its final passage, approval, and publication as provided by law.
