6-1-1: ESTABLISHMENT AND PURPOSE:
A Police Department is hereby established to provide for preservation of the peace and enforcement of law within the corporate limits of the City. It is the purpose of this Chapter to specify how the Police Department shall be organized and operated. (1983 Code § 2-1-1)
