§ 34.09  PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENTS AND INTEROPERABLE COMMUNICATIONS.
   (A)   All units of government that are involved with "Project Hoosier Safety" and/or the County Central Dispatch System within the bounds of the county shall from this time forward use, share, and maintain the shared common two-way 800 MHZ. trunked radio communications system; and
   (B)   Any new, replaced, repaired, upgraded, and/or re-banded device which is used for communications shall be fully compatible for two-way communications with all technical specifications needed in order to fully function and interoperate with the county's shared common 700/800 MHZ. trunked radio communications system, X7 P25 Platforms and with "Project Hoosier Safety" and Knox County Central Dispatch.
   (C)   The County Board of Commissioners will only allow on the shared common communications system of the county devices that meet the above two-way requirement, the technical specifications requirements, and contain "Omni-Link" or approved equivalent interoperation software which allows full functionality on the shared two-way communications system, "Project Hoosier Safety", and Knox County Central Dispatch.
   (D)   The County Board of Commissioners will only allow on the shared common communications system of the county pager type devices that meet the approval of the County Board of Commissioners and that can be operated on a shared platform operated by the County Central Dispatch, and in conjunction with a fully functionality two-way radio used by the same responder.
