Any impounded animal which is not redeemed within five days after the first day of impounding may be destroyed or disposed of by suitable and humane means; provided that, in the event of an animal impounded pursuant to § 94.07(B), the animal shall not be destroyed or disposed of until the expiration of a period of 14 days from the first day of impounding.
