§ 98.20 ADOPTION.
   (A)   (1)   The Fire Department’s mission is to minimize the risk of fire and other hazards to the life and property of the citizens of the city.
      (2)   To accomplish this mission, and for the purpose of prescribing regulations governing conditions hazardous to life and property from fire, explosion or exposure to hazardous materials, the city hereby adopts by reference, as fully as though set forth herein, the most current edition of the State Building Code, Fire Prevention,(herein referred to as “the Fire Prevention Code”) as enacted and published by the State Building Code Council, and as amended from time to time, and as adopted by ordinance in § 150.01 of this code.
   (B)   A copy of the Fire Prevention Code shall be maintained in the office of the Fire Chief and in the office of the City Clerk.
