§ 50.13  REIMBURSEMENT FOR DAMAGE.
   Any damage or destruction to or of a water meter resulting from carelessness of the owner, agent, or tenant or from neglect of any of them, to properly secure and protect the water meter, as well as any damage which may be wrought by frost, hot water, or steam backing from a boiler or vent shall, in addition to or in the alternative to the penalties provided in § 50.16 and § 50.99 below, shall be paid for by the owner of the property with respect to any repair and/or replacement to the village on presentation of a bill by the village; and in cases where the bill is not paid, the water shall be shut off and shall not be turned on until all charges have been paid to the village.
