§ 93.04 LICENSING OF REAL ESTATE BROKERS.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person to act as the real estate broker, real estate salesperson or agent within the city without obtaining a license to do so.
   (B)   Application for the issuance of a real estate broker's license, or a renewal thereof, shall be filed with the City Clerk upon forms supplied by the Clerk and shall contain the name, residence address, business address, date of birth, length of experience in dealing with real estate, the date and number of applicant's current certificate of registration from the Department of Registration and Education of the state and such other pertinent information as the City Council shall require to carry out the intent and purpose of this chapter. In the event that the applicant is not registered with the Department of Registration and Education of the State of Illinois the application shall be accompanied by a statement of the applicant, under oath, that the applicant is not required to be registered by the state. The annual fee for such license or renewal thereof shall be $5, which fee shall be paid to the Clerk upon the filing of the application.
   (C)   The license herein called for shall be issued for a term of one year and shall commence on May 1 and shall terminate on April 30.
