§ 94.068  REDEMPTION OF IMPOUNDED ANIMAL.
   (A)   The owner of an impounded animal shall be entitled to redeem such animal, except as provided in §§ 94.065 through 94.073, upon compliance with the license provisions of this chapter, the payment of all redemption fees, and upon furnishing proof of ownership.

   (B)   Redemption fees as provided in this section shall be $10 per day for each animal plus a $25 fee penalty.  This fee and penalty does not include applicable charges for any license, registration, or inoculation that may be required by this chapter or other applicable law. If the animal redeemed is not properly licensed, registered, or inoculated, the owner shall secure the necessary license or registration and have the animal inoculated.

   (C)   For each animal that is impounded more than 1 time within a 12-month period, the fee for taking up and boarding such animal shall be increased by $10.

   (D)   No fees whatsoever shall be charged or collected for or on account of any animal which has been unlawfully taken up or impounded, and any such animal shall be immediately delivered upon demand therefore to the owner or person entitled to the custody thereof.
