§ 94.010  LICENSES FOR KENNELS.
   (A)   Required.  It shall be unlawful for any person to operate a kennel in the town without possessing a valid kennel license; provided however, that veterinary hospitals or clinics, research facilities where bona fide medical related research (dental, veterinary, pharmaceutical or biological) is being conducted, humane shelters, and other animal establishments operated by state or local governments or which are licensed by federal law are hereby excluded from the kennel licensing requirements of this section.
   (B)   Application.  An application for a kennel license shall be on a form provided by the town and shall state the name and address of the kennel, its owner and its operator, and the maximum number of dogs to be housed in the kennel.
   (C)   Issuance.  The annual license fees for kennel operators shall be imposed pursuant to the provisions of this code relating to merchants and service establishments.
