§ 116.069 SALES TO MINORS.
   (A)   Except as may be permitted pursuant to Chapter 116, no person shall sell, give or deliver any alcoholic liquor to any person under the age of 21 years or to any intoxicated person; except that it shall not be a violation of this division (A) if the person who sells, gives, or delivers alcoholic liquor to a person under the age of 21 years: (1) is shown, and relies upon, adequate written evidence of the age and identity of the person to whom the alcoholic liquor is sold, given, or delivered; and (2) does not know the written evidence to be false or fraudulent.
   (B)   In the event that a local liquor licensee, or agent or employee thereof, believes or reasonably should believe that a sale or delivery of alcoholic liquor is prohibited because the prospective recipient is younger than 30 years of age, he or she shall, before making such sale or delivery, demand presentation of a valid, written, positive, government-issued identification containing proof of age.
   (C)   It is unlawful for any person to misrepresent his or her age for the purpose of purchasing or obtaining alcoholic liquor in any place in the village at which alcoholic liquor is sold.
   (D)   No person under the age of 21 years shall possess, present, or offer false or fraudulent evidence of age or identity for the purpose of purchasing or obtaining any alcoholic beverage.
   (E)   No person shall transfer, alter, or deface an identification card, use the identification card of another, carry or use a false or forged identification card, or obtain an identification card by means of false information, for the purpose of purchasing or procuring alcoholic liquor.
   (F)   In any place in the village at which alcoholic liquor is sold, there must be displayed at all times, in a prominent place, a printed card that shall read substantially as follows:
   WARNING TO PERSONS UNDER TWENTY-ONE
   YOU ARE SUBJECT TO A FINE UNDER THE ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE OF KENILWORTH IF YOU PURCHASE ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR, OR MISREPRESENT YOUR AGE FOR THE PURPOSE OF PURCHASING OR OBTAINING ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR.
   (G)   It is unlawful for any parent or legal guardian who has legal custody and control over a person who is under 18 years of age to permit such person to violate any provision of this § 116.069.
