(A) Position created. There is hereby created the position of Director of Community Development, who shall be an employee and not an officer of the Village. The Village Manager shall appoint the Director of Community Development.
(B) Powers and duties.
(1) General duties. The Director of Community Development shall have direct charge and control over the Department of Community Development and shall be responsible for the faithful and efficient conduct and operation of the Department.
(2) Enforcement. The Director of Community Development shall enforce, in coordination with the Building Commissioner, the building and construction regulations, the zoning ordinance, and all laws and ordinances pertaining to his or her Department.
(3) Additional powers and duties. The Director of Community Development shall have the same powers provided to the Building Inspector in § 32.13(C) of this code, as well and duty to perform any other duties as may be required of him or her by law, ordinance or resolution of the Village Board.
