§ 90.05 PROHIBITED ALARM EQUIPMENT; CONDITIONS OF OPERATION.
   (A)   No person, firm, corporation or other organization shall use or cause or permit to be used, or engage in the business of providing, any alarm or telephone device or telephone attachment that automatically selects a public telephone trunk line at the Village Police Department or the Winnetka Public Safety Building, and then reproduces a prerecorded voice message to report any robbery, burglary, fire or other emergency.
   (B)   No alarm shall emit any sound similar to that of sirens on emergency vehicles or similar to civil defense warning systems.
   (C)   After June 30, 1994, no alarm shall emit a signal that is audible to neighbors for a period of more than ten minutes before an automatic shut-off device shall stop the audible signal until a time as the alarm detects a subsequent unauthorized entry, breakage, robbery, burglary, fire or similar emergency.
   (D)   Any alarm device, attachment or line termination to which the device or attachment is connected that is prohibited by this chapter, or that is not operated or maintained in accordance with this chapter, is hereby declared a nuisance and shall be abated, as provided in Chapter 95 of this code.
