§ 96.01  INTRODUCTION.
The Board of Commissioners finds that excessive false alarms unduly burden the town’s limited emergency response resources. The rising number of false alarms being transmitted to the town and the increased cost of responding to these false alarms, both in form of equipment and personnel, necessitates the enactment of regulations designed to reduce the incidence of false alarms and to recover some of the costs incurred in responding thereto. The purpose of this chapter is to establish reasonable expectations for alarm users and to ensure that alarm users are held responsible for their use of alarm systems.
