§ 96.03 OVERNIGHT CAMPING.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in overnight camping in the village outside designated camping areas, except as herein specifically permitted.
   (B)   All camper-vans, camper-trailers, or the like within the village which are used for living or sleeping purposes outside a designated camping area shall secure a permit from the Chief of Police, or his or her designated agent on application by the owner, or his or her designated agent, of the property on which same is to be placed or parked. The application shall set forth under oath the exact location the camper-van, camper-trailer, or the like is proposed to be parked, the period of time the person responsible for the camper-van, camper-trailer, or the like proposes to permit it to remain at that location, and the purpose for which the camper-van, camper-trailer, or the like is to be used. All camper-vans, camper-trailers, or the like shall be placed or parked behind the front set-back line of the home.
   (C)   Unless in violation of the terms and conditions of the zoning code as it now exists or hereinafter enacted or amended a camper-van, camper-trailer, or the like may be parked or stored in the village as long as a permit has been issued in accordance with all the provisions set forth in this chapter.
   (D)   At any place outside a designated camping area within the limits of the village, it shall be permissible for bona fide guests of the householder to engage in overnight camping by parking not more than two camper-vans, camper-trailers, or the like for a period of time not to exceed 30 days in any calendar year. However, during that time the camper-van, camper-trailer, or the like shall be used for sleeping purposes and the occupants shall have occasion to and shall use the cooking and toilet facilities of the dwelling house.
   (E)   No person shall engage in overnight camping within the village except in designated camping areas, unless such overnight camping is being carried out in a camper-van, camper-trailer, or the like permitted in a location pursuant to division (D) above.
   (F)   The requirements set forth in this section shall not apply to camper-vans, camper-trailers or the like that are stored on private property and not in use. All camper-vans, camper-trailers or the like shall be placed or parked behind the front set-back line of the home.
   (G)   Temporary use of a camper-van, camper trailer or the like may be used for temporary housing incidental to the construction or building on the premises on which a home will be located, only during the time that the construction is actively underway, and for a period not to exceed 12 months. The applicant my request one three-month extension, which may be granted upon the recommendation of the Zoning Inspector.
