(A) A permit shall be required for any excavation or structure placed on the road right-of-way including, but not limited to, the rebuilding of a driveway or apron to a driveway. The application and permit fee shall be $50 plus any inspection costs. Permit applications shall be available at the Office of the Clerk, 121 Addison Street.
(B) No permit is needed for re-grading a stone driveway, or sealing a blacktop driveway, but the safety requirements as set forth above shall be followed as if a permit is needed. Road Crossing shall be stated in a current State of Ohio, Department of Transportation Construction and Materials Specifications Manual.
(C) A project without a permit will be stopped immediately by the Village Inspector or the Police Chief. The permit fee will then be double the normal fee. A project will also be stopped immediately by the Village Inspector or the Police Chief and the permit revoked if either the orders of the Village Inspector or the Police Chief are not followed. A new permit will be required, along with the $50 fee. Two or more stakes shall be set to show the Village Inspector the location of the proposed driveway.
