17.52.040: DETERMINATION OF APPROPRIATE CLASSIFICATION:
   A.   Classification of any unlisted land use shall be made based on the impact of that use upon adjacent and neighboring properties and with regard for the allowed uses existing on those properties and compliance with the comprehensive plan.
   B.   The administrator shall make a determination as to whether or not the unlisted use is similar to a listed allowed or conditional use.
   C.   When the administrator determines that the unlisted use is similar to a listed use he shall direct the applicant to the appropriate classification and the applicable rules, standards, etc.
   D.   If the administrator determines that the requested use is not similar to any listed use he shall refer the classification question to the commission. The commission shall consider the request and make a classification recommendation to the council.
   E.   The council shall consider the classification question and commission recommendation and may accept the unlisted use as a new use classification and amend this title. (Ord. 2007-4, 2007)
