Water shall be turned off/on upon written and/or verbal request from property owner or contract purchaser of a property and shall pay to the clerk a service fee of twenty five dollars ($25.00) in addition to payment of all other water base rate and consumption charges. There shall be no charge whenever water service is turned off and/or on for routine city service or an emergency during normal business hours. When turn off and/or turn on is required after business hours, regardless of the reason for the request, a thirty five dollar ($35.00) fee will be assessed. A fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) shall be paid to the clerk by the property owner when a previously existing meter must be replaced due to a request for removal by the property owner or removal necessitated by delinquency. The city of Kamiah will waive the fifty dollar ($50.00) fee for the first time a meter is pulled. Fee will be assessed and payable to the clerk for any other subsequent requests for meter to be removed. (Ord. 2016-6, 2016)
