(a) No person shall construct a driveway across any sidewalk, parkway or street in the village for commercial use or the habitual use of the public or any use by the owner or occupant of the premises served without having obtained a permit therefor. Such permit shall be revocable by the president with the approval of the board of trustees and such permit shall be issued on that condition, and no driveway over twenty feet (20') in width shall be constructed or maintained without the approval of the village board.
(b) Applications for such permits shall be accompanied by the fee required in section 10-52 of this article.
