(A) The number of occupants on a golf cart, utility task vehicle, or other vehicles as described in the definition of “side by side” in § 72.01
shall be limited to the number of persons for whom factory seating is installed and provided on the golf cart or utility task vehicle. The operator and all occupants shall be seated and remain in the golf cart or utility task vehicle and no part of the body of the operator or occupant shall extend outside the perimeter of the golf cart, utility task vehicle or other vehicles as described in the definition of “side by side” in § 72.01
, while the golf cart, utility task vehicle, or other vehicles as described in the definition of “side by side” in § 72.01
is being operated. No one under the age of eight years is allowed to ride on the back seat of the golf cart, utility task vehicle, or other vehicles as described in the definition of “side by side” in § 72.01
unless accompanied by an adult.
(B) In accordance with Indiana Law as of July 1, 2017; all children under 18 years of age are required to wear a helmet on or in any off road vehicle (ORV). This includes utility task vehicles described in this ordinance. The law applies to public or private property.
