1482.01 2003 EDITION ADOPTED; FILE AND DISTRIBUTION COPIES.
   (a)   There is hereby adopted by the City, in its entirety, for the purpose to establish minimum regulations consistent with nationally recognized good practices for the safeguarding of life and property. Regulations in this code are intended to mitigate the risk to life and structures from intrusion of fire from wildland fire exposures and fire exposures from adjacent structures and to mitigate structures fires from spreading to wildland fuels. The extent of this regulation is intended to be tiered commensurate with the relative level of hazard present. This code shall supplement the City’s building and fire codes, to provide for special regulations to mitigate the fire- and life-safety hazard of urban-wildland interface areas, as set forth therein, that certain code known as the International Urban-Wildland Interface Code, 2003, edition, as published by the International Code Council, Inc. This code is not intended to abridge safety, health or environmental requirements under other applicable coeds or ordinances, save and except such provisions as are hereinafter deleted or amended.
   (b)   Not less than three copies of such Code are on file with the Assistant City Manager and the Assistant City Manager shall keep the same with the ordinance book of the City and make the same available for public use, inspection and examination.
