In the First and Second Wards, John's Street shall be the initial street and all numbers running eastward shall be called 100 and upward from this point; east of Union Street shall be 200 and upward; east of Walnut Street shall be 300 and upward; east of Market Street shall be 400 and upward; east of Franklin Street shall be 500 and upward; and east of Clinton and Bedford Streets shall be 600 and upward (except on Railroad Street). All numbers east of Adam Street on Main Street and parallel alleys shall be 700 and upward. On Railroad Street, Clinton Street shall be the initial point, and numbering on Railroad Street and parallel streets and alleys shall begin from this point, covering Railroad Street, Centre Street, Huber Street, Devlin Street and all alleys parallel thereto; Adam Street shall be a division in numbering Haynes Street (now called Hudson Street), Coal Street, Gautier Street and Catherine Street (except on Railroad Street above the intersection of Centre Street). In these Wards, every twenty feet shall represent a number.
