1460.07 INSURANCE.
   A person performing demolition within the City shall carry public liability insurance in the amounts of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) and three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) for personal injury, and twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) property damage. A certificate evidencing the same shall be exhibited to the permit issuing officer of the City upon demand. However, the permit issuing officer may require, at his or her discretion, insurance on a sliding scale up to the maximum amount of three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) and six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000) for personal injury, and one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) for property damage, depending upon the danger to be alleviated and the presence of probable injury to individuals surrounding such work.
