(a) There is hereby adopted by the City in its entirety, for the purpose of regulating and governing the conditions and maintenance of all property, building and structures; by providing the standards for supplied utilities and facilities and other physical things and conditions essential to ensure that structures are safe, sanitary and fit for occupation and use; and the condemnation of buildings and structures unfit for human occupancy and use and the demolition of such structures as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; as set forth therein, that certain code known as the International Building Code, the 2003 edition, as published by International Code Council, Inc., save and except such provisions as are hereinafter deleted or amended.
(b) Not less than three copies of such Code are on file with the Assistant City Manager, and the Assistant City Manager shall keep the same with the ordinance book of the City and make the same available for public use, inspection and examination.
