Any person, firm, association or corporation who or which violates any provision of this chapter shall, upon the judgment of any Justice of the Peace determining such violation, be subject to a fine not exceeding three hundred dollars ($300.00) and costs for each offense, plus any additional expenses encountered by the Water Purveyor to restore the water quality in such a way that it is safe for human consumption. In default of payment of the fine and costs, etc., the violator shall be subject to imprisonment for a period not exceeding thirty days. A separate offense shall be deemed committed upon each calendar day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.
