(a) Special Care Charge. The City shall charge the owner of any impounded dog(s) or cat(s) in the City’s Kennel twenty-five dollars ($25.00) that has shown or has aggressive behavior as determined by the Animal Control Officer/Dog Warden and for those animals that need additional care because of sickness or injury.
(b) Rabies Vaccination Deposit. The City shall charge a refundable deposit of forty dollars ($40.00) for every rabies vaccination required for the owner to reclaim his or her dog(s) or cat(s). Upon notification by the Animal Control Officer/Dog Warden the owner shall have ten days in which to have the animal vaccinated. If the owner fails to provide proof of vaccination within the ten-day period, then the owner shall forfeit the deposit.
