The City hereby adopts the Affirmative Action Program of Equal Opportunity in Employment and Services, attached to original Resolution 7643, passed August 11, 1982, and hereby made a part hereof by reference, which Program incorporates in detail the affirmative desire and commitment of the City to comply with the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Executive Order 11246 (as amended), and 16 Pa. Code, Chapter 49 et seq., and all other Federal, State and local legal requirements so that all employees and applicants for positions shall be treated equitably and without distinction, as to compensation, training and opportunities for advancement, including upgrading and promotions, because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, handicap, disability or status as a veteran.
