290.09 APPLICATION OF CHAPTER.

The benefits provided for in this chapter shall accrue only to those members of the Department of Fire who are actually employed by the City and are active members of the Department on the effective date of this chapter (Ordinance 2752, passed June 17, 1948), or who thereafter become members of the Department.
