242.02 K-9 CORPS.
   (a)   Police officers assigned to the K-9 Corps have the responsibility of feeding and caring for the police dogs and shall be paid a sum of seventy-five dollars ($75.00) per month for this service. In the case of passive, non-aggressive police dogs, such as those used solely for the detection of drugs, explosives and accelerants, police officers shall be paid a sum of forty dollars ($40.00) per month.
