(a) The Bureau of City Income Tax originally created by Ordinance 2709, passed March 2, 1948, and amended by Ordinance 3751, passed December 5, 1967, shall be in the office of the Department of Finance.

(b) The City Manager shall have the power to appoint the Director of the Bureau, together with all investigators, stenographers and clerical help required for the purpose of conducting the functions of such office.

(c) The Director of Finance is hereby authorized to purchase such supplies and equipment as he or she deems necessary for the assessment and collection of taxes imposed under Chapter 876 of Part Eight - the Business Regulation and Taxation Code.
