(a) General Authority. The Director of Finance is hereby authorized to invest and re-invest, at his or her discretion, any moneys in the General Fund, the Sinking Fund, the Sanitary Sewer Fund or the Special Funds not immediately needed for City purposes, in United States Treasury Bills and United States Government Bonds, in such amounts and for such terms as he or she considers advisable, without further approval of Council.
