The official flag of the City shall be a flag made of silk, bunting or other suitable material of the colors and in the proportions as shown in the sketch attached to original Resolution 391, passed August 22, 1916, and described as follows:
The size shall be five feet by eight feet and it shall be composed of three vertical bars, the central bar to be of a gold color and three and one-half feet in width. The bars on either side shall be of a purple color and two and one-fourth feet in width. The center of the flag shall be a circle two feet in diameter with the City Seal inscribed therein in black on a white background.
