925.02 DEFINITIONS.
   As used in this chapter,
   (a)   "BOD" means the quantity of oxygen utilized in the biochemical oxidation of organic matter, under standard laboratory procedures, in five days at 20 degrees C expressed in terms of the weight concentration (mg/l).
   (b)    "Domestic sewage" means any water-carried waste discharged from residence, commercial buildings, industrial plants and institutions which contains no more than 200 mg/l BOD and 250 mg/l SS.
   (c)    "Industrial waste" means liquid wastes from industrial processes as distinct from domestic sewage.
   (d)    "National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit" means the permit issued to each major discharger of liquid wastes which documents the required effluent quality of the discharged liquid.
   (e)    "Sanitary sewer" means the collection system for all domestic sewage and acceptable industrial wastes.
   (f)    "Storm sewer" means the collection system for all "clean" water including surface runoff and roof drainage.
   (g)    "SS" means the suspended solids or nonfiltrable residue portion of a sample as determined by laboratory analysis.
