A. Violation A Nuisance: Every building constructed or under construction which the building and zoning administrator determines to be in violation of this code, is hereby declared to be a nuisance. It shall be the duty of the building and zoning administrator to cause a written or printed notice to be served upon the owner and/or the builder of any person doing the work thereto, requiring him to stop work thereon and to conform to the requirements of this code. B. Violation A Petty Offense; Penalty: Any person who shall violate a provision of this code or shall fail to comply with any of the requirements hereof or who shall erect or construct a building or structure in violation of an approved plan or directive of the building and zoning administrator, or of a permit or certificate issued under provisions of this code, shall be guilty of a petty offense punishable by a fine as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code. Each day that a violation continues shall be deemed a separate offense. (Ord., 12-14-1999; amd. 2009 Code)
