5-8-8: CONTRACTOR LICENSE:
   A.   Annual License Required: An annual contractor's license shall be required by all private sewage disposal system installation contractors and all private sewage disposal pumping contractors operating within the limits of the county.
   B.   Examination Required: The health department shall issue a private sewage disposal system installation contractor license or a private sewage disposal system pumping contractor license to persons applying for such license who have passed the written examination given by the state for the license desired.    C.   License Fee And Expiration: An annual license fee shall be required for each license issued. Fees are charged in the amount set by the Jo Daviess County board of health and approved by resolution of the Jo Daviess County board. All licenses shall expire November 30 of the year issued, except those issued in November will expire November 30 of the following year. (Ord. 2010-7, 10-12-2010)

   F.   Revocation Or Suspension Of License:
      1.   Revocation: For serious or repeated violations of any of the requirements of this chapter, the private sewage disposal contractor's license may be revoked after the health authority has provided an opportunity for a hearing. Prior to such action, the health authority shall notify the person in writing, stating the reasons for which the license is subject to revocation and advising that the license shall be revoked at the end of five (5) days following service of such notice, unless a request for a hearing is filed with the health authority, by the holder, within such five (5) day period.
      2.   Suspension: A license may be suspended for cause pending its revocation or a hearing relative thereto where a clear and present danger to the public health is preliminarily found to exist by the health authority. (Ord., 4-7-2008)
