4-7-6: APPLICATION FOR LICENSE:
Persons desiring to operate a bed and breakfast establishment shall make written application for license on forms provided by the licensing agency. Such application shall include information pertaining to the requirements specified in the state bed and breakfast act. In addition, when the establishment is not serviced by a public sewer and/or water facility, the applicant shall submit documentation that:
   A.   The water supply is from a source constructed and operated according to law. The well water must be tested a minimum of once every year, and the bed and breakfast establishment owner must have a copy of results on file that will be provided to the health authority at the time of inspection. Wells must be sampled for coliform bacteria and nitrates until a safe water result is obtained. The costs for such sampling shall be the responsibility of the establishment owner.
   B.   The sewage disposal system is constructed and operating in conformance with the applicable state and local ordinances, and is of sufficient size to adequately treat the sewage produced. The septic tank must be pumped out a minimum of once every three (3) years or as often as the health authority may require. The bed and breakfast establishment owner must have a copy on file that will be provided to the health authority at the time of inspection. (Ord., 4-7-2008, eff. 4-7-2008)
