§ 1272.02 PERMITTED USES.
   In a General Industrial I-2 District, no building, structure or land shall be used and no building or structure shall be erected, altered or enlarged which is arranged, intended or designed for other than one of the following uses:
   (a)   Any use or structure permitted and as regulated in the Light Industrial I-1 District, except as modified in this section;
   (b)   The following manufacturing uses, provided that the building, structure or area used for such purposes is 150 feet from any residence district:
      (1)   Asbestos;
      (2)   Brick;
      (3)   Disinfectant;
      (4)   Dye stuff;
      (5)   Emery cloth or sandpaper;
      (6)   Enameling, lacquering or japanning;
      (7)   Felt, storage and drying;
      (8)   Glass cloth;
      (9)   Grain drying;
      (10)   Insecticide;
      (11)   Iron cleaning;
      (12)   Nut, screw and bolt;
      (13)   Paper or clipping, including sorting, refining and bailing;
      (14)   Perfume;
      (15)   Pickle;
      (16)   Plaster;
      (17)   Poison;
      (18)   Pottery;
      (19)   Poultry feed manufacturing from refuse, mash or grain;
      (20)   Printing ink;
      (21)   Sauerkraut;
      (22)   Sausage;
      (23)   Stone and monument products;
      (24)   Sugar, refining;
      (25)   Tile and terra cotta;
      (26)   Vinegar;
      (27)   Wire or rod drawing;
      (28)   Wool pulling and scouring; and
      (29)   Yeast.
   (c)   The following manufacturing uses, provided that the building, structure or area used for such purposes is 250 feet from any residence district:
      (1)   Ammonia;
      (2)   Animal black;
      (3)   Atomic energy and fissionable materials;
      (4)   Bone black or graphite manufacture;
      (5)   Brewing or distilling of liquors;
      (6)   Cement;
      (7)   Chlorine, powdered, or bleaching powder manufacturing;
      (8)   Creosote manufacturing or treatment;
      (9)   Curing or tanning of raw, green or salted hides or skins;
      (10)   Dextrine, starch or glucose;
      (11)   Distillation of coal;
      (12)   Explosive or inflammable cellulose or pyroxyline products;
      (13)   Fertilizer, compost manufacture or storage;
      (14)   Fish curing, smoking or packaging;
      (15)   Fish oil manufacturing or refining;
      (16)   Flour, feed or grain mill;
      (17)   Garbage, offal, dead animals, refuse and rancid fat incineration, reduction or storage;
      (18)   Gas generation or storage for illumination or heating;
      (19)   Glue manufacture;
      (20)   Gypsum;
      (21)   Junk or rags;
      (22)   Lamp black;
      (23)   Lime;
      (24)   Lime products;
      (25)   Linoleum;
      (26)   Manufacturing of small arms ammunitions;
      (27)   Matches;
      (28)   Oil;
      (29)   Oil cloth or oiled goods;
      (30)   Paint;
      (31)   Petroleum;
      (32)   Petroleum or inflammable liquids production, refining and storage above ground;
      (33)   Plaster of Paris manufacturing;
      (34)   Refuse, grain, wood or bones;
      (35)   Rubber, manufacture and treatment from crude or scrap material;
      (36)   Shellac;
      (37)   Shoe blacking or polish or stone polish;
      (38)   Size or gelatine manufacture where the processes include the refining or recovery of products from fish;
      (39)   Slaughterhouses or stock yards;
      (40)   Smelting of ores;
      (41)   Sulphurous, sulphuric, nitric, picric carbolic or hydrochloric or other corrosive acid manufacture;
      (42)   Tar distillation or manufacturing;
      (43)   Tar or asphalt roofing or waterproofing;
      (44)   Turpentine; and
      (45)   Varnish or enamel manufacturing; and
   (d)   Any other use which is determined by the Board of Zoning Appeals to be of the same character as the permitted uses specified in this section.
