(a) Payment with water bill. Since sewer service rates are based on water consumption, the city will not accept payment of any water bill without payment also of the sewer bill. If any bill remains unpaid for 30 days, the city may terminate the water supply to the customer until the sewer bill is paid.
(b) Due date. All charges for sewer service shall become due and payable ten days after billing. If such charges are not paid when due, the delinquent charges shall be certified to the County Auditor to be collected in the same manner as other city taxes under Ohio R.C. 729.49.
(c) Penalty for late payment. If any sewer bill is not paid within ten days after the beginning of the billing period, a ten percent penalty shall be added to the bill.
(d) Liability for charges. The owner of private property served by the sewage works, as well as the lessee of the premises, shall be liable to the city for all services rendered to the premises.
