§ 860.01 DEFINITIONS.
   As used in this chapter, “hawker,” “peddler” and “huckster” shall be considered synonymous and mean a person engaged in the business of making sales of provisions, goods, wares or merchandise of any description upon the streets, alleys, public places and ways of the city, whether by personal solicitation or by supplying a purchaser with the provisions, goods, wares or merchandise without solicitation. A hawker, peddler or huckster shall be deemed to be such within the meaning of this chapter when he or she has no established place of business in the city and carries his or her provisions, goods, wares or merchandise with him or her for the purpose of selling the same.
