10-6-2: PROHIBITED OPERATIONS, ADDITIONALLY:
   A.   No person shall:
      1.   Waterskiing Or Skiing In Certain Areas: Operate any vessel towing persons on water skis, surfboards or similar devices on the Iowa River in the area bounded by the Coralville Mill Dam and the Burlington Street Dam, except during regattas, races, marine parades or exhibitions authorized by the natural resource commission or its successor to be held in such area.
      2.   Swimming In Certain Areas: Swim in the Iowa River between the Iowa Avenue Bridge and the Burlington Street Dam.
      3.   Walking, Ice Skating, Fishing In Certain Frozen Areas: Walk, ice skate, fish or otherwise be upon the surface of the ice on the Iowa River between the Iowa Avenue Bridge and the Burlington Street Dam. (1978 Code §24-83; amd. 1994 Code)
   B.   No craft or vehicle shall be operated on the surface of the ice on the Iowa River between the Iowa Avenue Bridge and the Burlington Street Dam.
   C.   No owner or operator of any vessel propelled by a motor of more than six (6) horsepower shall permit any person under twelve (12) years of age to operate such vessel, except when accompanied by a responsible person of at least eighteen (18) years of age who is experienced in motorboat operation.    D.   No person owning or operating a vessel shall permit such vessel to be occupied by more passengers and crew than the registration capacity permits. (1978 Code §24-85)
